Beware New Recruiters! Did you know....?

There is a 50% - 90% turnover rate for new consultants (Head Hunters) in search firms and staffing companies in the first six months, according to a survey by one national executive search firm! Perhaps you ask, "WHY is this acceptable?" Or, "WHY does this continue?"

What a waste of talent! Do you really think staffing agencies don't know how to screen potential recruiters? It appears a lot of people are failing at a job where there need be little to no failure!

Why? Why? Why? The Answer: I know for a fact LACK of TRAINING is the number one reason.

Second: Staffing firms gloss over the truth that it takes 6 weeks for payment to be received on their first placement. On average. Consider this: You make a placement in your first one to two weeks. Then your candidate gives 2 weeks notice to their current employer. After they start the new job the client may take up to 2 weeks to get you the check!

Working on commission is an adjustment if you've never worked on commission. Search firms and staffing agencies both could make sure their new recruiters were successful in their first six weeks, if they wanted!

So why don't they? One reason is: as they keep pushing 'bodies' through their revolving door, those 'bodies' surface and interview many candidates. And even though the new recruiters often leave before they've been able to benefit from their efforts, the staffing agency profits from their work in progress. The company is able to place the new candidates into positions, temporary or permanent, and a whole new cycle begins.

The solution? Take charge of your career. Recruiting is a fantastic career and a great deal of fun once you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. You also have the ability to make vast sums of money.

I'll share one more secret with you...Recruiting is NOT DIFFICULT! If you can listen, follow step by step instructions, and have common sense along with some knowledge of at least one industry, odds are you'll be a successful Recruiter. The key to your success is getting trained as a top recruiter in the beginning. Part of that training includes knowing how to recruit using 'third party referrals'.

Full cycle recruiters (experts in third party referrals) decide where they will work, how much money they will make, and how much time they'll devote to their business. They alone control their destiny. Control, flexibility, and a high income is attractive to many people today.

If you plan to work for a search firm or agency, fine. They take part of your commission to pay the phone bill, electric bill, rent, postage, internet, etc. You're then free to focus on your recruiting business. They make a profit from every placement you make so why not double your production by using the supports they have in place? If their supports are minimal, look for a new environment.

When you are trained as a professional recruiter, career options open. Work with a firm, be independent, 'split commissions' with other recruiters in your network, work as a contract recruiter, or in-house corporate recruiter. The skills learned in our program will take you anywhere in the industry.

Happy days and Good Fortune to you!
